①.“欣賞,重視”
His talents are not fully appreciated in the company.
他的才干在公司未受到充分的賞識(shí)。
②.“感激,感謝”:“歡迎”
Your support is greatly appreciated.
十分感謝你的支持。
I don't appreciate being treated like that.
我不愿被人像那樣地對(duì)待。
③.“理解,意識(shí)到”
We didn't fully appreciate that he was seriously ill.
我們沒有充分認(rèn)識(shí)到他的病情很嚴(yán)重。

3.as well as “也,還”之用法:
①連接主語時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞跟其前面主語保持一致
She as well as I is an English teacher.(是英語老師)
He as well as his friends is going shopping.
②連接并列成分,尤其是連接動(dòng)詞用法:
He publishes as well as prints his own books.
他的書是自己印刷并出版的。(時(shí)態(tài))
She can sing as well as dance.
她既會(huì)跳舞也會(huì)唱歌。(情態(tài)動(dòng)詞)
You can't expect her to do the housework as well as look after the children.
你不可以叫她既照管孩子又做家務(wù)。(不定時(shí))
